Bought an old Charter Arms survival pistol from a good friend of mine back in 86. Shoots very accurate but does have some feeding issues at times. A true PIA to deep clean though.

A .22 caliber you say. Well of course. My first was a single shot bolt-action rifle at age 9. I also have rifles that belonged to my granddad and dad. And I have added to that a Browning Buckmark, to which I added a red dot. Great fun!

I have that same High Standard I inherited few years ago. Good target pistol.
I used to watch my Dad shoot wood bees with it when I was little. I was in awe of his marksmanship. He never missed as I recall. It wasn't till years later I found out he was using birdshot.........
When asked about it, he just smiled.

Yesterday I was talking to a couple younger friends. One was purchasing his first .22. The other admitted he needed to purchase one himself. So this isn’t uncommon. Times have certainly changed. What I have learned is INGO is full of old dudes.

I dont plink or compete so a .22 lr is just a small game hunter for me. With the advent or reflex sights, my old eyes can run a pistol well enough a rifle isnt needed.

So....one .22 lr is good enough I reckon.
Do have a .22 rifle but its proly just a dust collector now.

I own several .22LR hand guns and rifles. I have a 10/22, and want a second one. I have a Rossi lever action, an old Winchester.

    Pistols, I have a single action revolver, a 1911, a PPK.

I enjoy just plinking with them. Working on marksmanship with them.

I have several 22 rifles and pistols. You don't have to spend a lot of money for a good 22. My Savage 64 and Marlin 60 are two inexpensive semi auto 22s that I have put many rounds thru for many years and are still accurate and dependable.
