Dish was debt ridden. Satellite is rapidly losing ground to streaming.

Only upside to Satellite is live sports...streaming lags behind by seconds. Little frustrating at watch parties. Those watching one TV know what happened before another.

Sling may have some utility, but satellite TV is way overdue to go away.

I had Dish for a few years back and it was great.... when speedy home internet was 56.6k, but me and everyone else is streaming in 4k on more than one device at a time....and I use Starlink which is slower that everyone's fiber and most everyone's cable.

Streaming YouTubeTV is best and I've had them all.
We just signed up for it with a package deal for Frontier fiber. Dumping Xfinity, I don't even want to tell you what we were paying. Price is going to be cut in half. At least for now. Neighbors have it and love it.

The recording feature on YouTubeTV is awesome. Save a show to your library and it will record it every time it shows. :rockwoot:

I still don't fully understand how streaming works, even though I use a couple of services. For example, I have Paramount+, but I access it via my Xfinity cable TV. If I cut my cable, how would I get it?
