I was really enjoying the results of that WWE republican win. If you voted for Jackass Joe you're part of the problem.

The point he is trying to make Dad is that you are way late to the party. If you really wanted to affect Youngs chances of re-election you should have been working with like minded people for at least the last year to find a viable challenger to Young, convince him to run, and make people aware that they have an alternative to Young as a Republican candidate - and given all that, you would still need to contend with people's perception of your chosen candidate's electabilitySure keep voting in McCains I'm sure that makes you pure and blameless in your own thoughts.
I live up to my word. I told Young if he voted for anymore gun control I would not vote for him.
He voted for more gun control which you don't seem to care about and I will now fulfill my promise.
You go ahead and put your McCain commie back into office and let him continue to destroy the constitution he swore to defend and uphold.
People like you who compromise is exactly the problem and why we are, where we are at today. To few are willing to take a stand.
Now I know why McCain kept getting back in.
Even ignoring the gross distortion that Young votes the same way as a Democrat would in all things, you are ignoring the fact that it is raw numbers that determine what party controls the House and the Senate and thus what bills make it to the floor or die in committee. Even if Young were as bad as you believe, his mere presence as an elected official can yield enormous benefits to returning this country to sanityIt's a fact when people compromise things go down hill. You are overlooking Young's horrible voting record just because he's got an R and that somehow makes him better than a D that votes the same way as Young.
That same situation applies to us nationally until 2024. Even with control of the agenda in both legislatures, we cannot overturn bad existing laws without much higher numbers than a simple majority. ANY Republican elected official will be more persuadable on many issues we care about than any elected Democrat would be
let me fix that for you:In much of Indiana, there’s not much of a difference between a democrat and a republican.
Nah…in much of local government, there’s not much difference. The governor’s office is but a projection of city councils in many Indiana counties.let me fix that for you:
in Holcomb there‘s not much of a difference between a democrat and a republican.
I ignored him the first post I read. I have no idea what he or it even posts. And troll extraordinaire

She’s such an idiot. Then you have moronic clowns like this:

Joy Reid says DeSantis warning to looters in Ian’s aftermath is like racist threat from ‘segregationist’
MSNBC's Joy Reid accused Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., of using racist, segregationist tropes when warning looters not to invade homes of Hurricane Ian survivors.www.foxnews.com
Reid can GTH
She’s such an idiot.
Elaborate?I would agree with that assessment , But then again I also think Desantis is a Moron too.

Totally disagree with your assumptions. The point he is trying to make Dad is that you are way late to the party. If you really wanted to affect Youngs chances of re-election you should have been working with like minded people for at least the last year to find a viable challenger to Young, convince him to run, and make people aware that they have an alternative to Young as a Republican candidate - and given all that, you would still need to contend with people's perception of your chosen candidate's electability
But if he survived those tests and won the primary, he would benefit from sensible people's recognition that any Republican would be better than any Democrat
As it stands, at this late stage, your plans will have no effect on the reality and so just seem a way for you to feel you have maintained your purity (in the same manner as Pilate did)
Perhaps contemplate the example of the Two, where we made common cause with some pretty unsavory people to defeat some REALLY unsavory people because that was what the situation required at that time
If you don't think we are in a Cold War for the soul of the nation and need every Republican we can get then "May your chains set lightly upon you ..."
And as soon as the Libertarians take control they're going to abolish taxation, right after they take care of the important stuff like legalizing weedYep.
As soon as the Republicans control the executive branch, the house, and the senate they are going to abolish obammy care. True story.
And as soon as the Libertarians take control they're going to abolish taxation, right after they take care of the important stuff like legalizing weed
Any political party is vulnerable to having its shortcomings exaggerated for a quick one liner, even the ones that can top 4%
So McSally kept an R in that seat because she was appointed, but she couldn't make it stick so we have Kelly in that seat. Please tell me how we were somehow better off because of that and how voting for a republican to hold that seat would have made no difference. Due diligence should require you to review Kelly's voting recordTotally disagree with your assumptions.
You and people like you with your any Ris better than a D is a ridiculous argument.
This is the same ridiculous argument that kept Songbird McCain in Arizona and other leftist Republicans in other states.
A 'viable' candidate is one who can garner the necessary support to get on the ballot, by definition. That requires recognition and popularity. Your preferred candidate was eliminated because not enough people knew who he was or liked what he represented after they knew. I live in Ohio, if your candidate needed me to write his name in you were in a deeper hole than even I thoughtWe had a viable candidate but you and the other three Young fans/defenders decided not to take time to put your signature down to get him in the primary.
If he won the election he in fact does have the majority's imprimatur to vote as he sees fit, that's how our system works - he answers to the people at his next election according to their approval of his previous term unless he commits an impeachable offense. He won the election by nearly 10%, perhaps the primary was closer but if you were saying your preferred candidate needed to be a write in then he was not popular enough to make the ballot. To overcome a near 10% deficit in the general in a state with open primaries (because, after all, you seem to think Young would be equally desirable to Democrats) would take one **** of a write in campaignI did my part. I even convinced him to come to this forum and answer questions.
So saying there was no viable candidate available is foolishness. So is this debate about keeping leftist Republicans in office.
None of you looked up any of those bill I listed that he voted for along with the democrats. If you did you would have seen he is not only anti 2nd Amendment, but a socialist when in comes to the economy. He believes in big government.
You voting for him makes him think he has your approval for voting exactly the way he has.
This analogy presupposes that you actually have the ability to punish them, you manifestly do not and you certainly can criticize how other people chose to vote but that will not change it. Vis a vis Young, sometimes to get a truly 'viable' candidate to oppose someone you have to take someone who is not as 'pure' as you would like. You don't mention who you thought was 'viable' that needed to be written in, so it is hard to determine whether he was popular in your estimation because he agreed with you on everything or whether he was popular in the traditional sense that many people knew him or knew of him and his ideas had wide appealIt's like rewarding a child that has done something horrible instead of correcting them you buy them a candy bar and pat them on the head.
That is what is happening when you vote in leftist Republicans.
