If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize. Since this system will be used to carry hunting/fishing/edc gear, it seems appropriate.

These have been on my radar for awhile, but now that I have a truck that I plan to keep for several years, I'm starting to think more seriously about one. Anybody have the Decked drawer system? If so, how do you like it?

I do not have it. But when I did have my nice truck I looked into it. I read about the storage getting a bunch of dust dirt and cr@p in it.

I’m sure YouTube will have a plethora of information on them.

We used that system in the rear compartment of our duty vehicles. I would want a fiberglass lid if you're not going to have a grandpop top like I have on my Silverado because of what was stated above. Dirt, dust, rain, snow, sleet, humidity, etc will cause your kit to become heavily oxided and will be FUBAR quick / quick.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I was under the impression that they were "weatherproof". If that's not the case, it's not nearly as appealing. I have a roll up tonneau cover on my truck, which would probably help, but I don't think I could justify $1500 for a system that doesn't even keep my gear clean or dry.

I looked into them a while ago and what made me decide to not get one was the weight of the system. For my truck I was looking at roughly 250# and that was weight I didn’t need to be adding to my gross when towing a camper. The second drawback was if you have a bed cover, and I think you’d want one to help with weather, dust, etc. as stated above, you are very limited on the height of items you can carry in the bed unless you have a cap on the truck. Once again, I was looking at weight I didn’t need or want.

I have installed a few decked systems. Never had a complaint from customers on dust or water.

I am currently looking for a used one for my Rambox bed. Facebook marketplace has a lot of used for good prices.

I know John Murphy at FPF has one in his pickup under a camper shell and he swore by it. Given what I saw, I’d buy one.

For me, they seem heavy and limit the flexibility of the use of the bed. If I was a contractor and carried the same stuff all the time, it would likely make more sense. I'm just as likely to need to carry a bunch of suitcases and beach toys as I am a mound of mulch or branches, so I use removable bed spanning rods and storage crates to keep things from moving in the bed when needed and remove them when they aren't.

Just think of your use case before deciding to commit.

i have a 2020 f250 8' bed, with decked drawer system. i love it, but having a regular cab influences that opinion strongly. i plan to also add their toolbox with the ladder system. the only drawback to me is it limits your payload to 2000lbs - and thats distributed evenly with plywood. my payload is 5k pounds without it, but really that's what a trailer is for. my drawers never get water in them, but the 'ammo can' corner storage can sometimes get wet in big storms

I’ve got one with a cap And a cargo slider.
No other decent system comes close for the coin.

Assuming the cap keeps it cleaner in the drawers?is the cargo slider to get stuff out of the actual bed area? Or do you have a kid to climb in there to get stuff because it must be tight. Any pics?

If you want clean and dry, buy a Tahoe
