I’m having a similar problem with a government agency. I sent them paperwork the day before it was due, and have been rejected three times because they claim they received it three weeks after the due date. Even though their web site AND the paperwork both said that the paperwork had to be POSTMARKED by the due date. I have a postmarked “proof of mailing” from the post office showing the date that I mailed it, but the “powers that be” are ignoring that fact. I just had to hire an attorney to write them the EXACT same letter that I have been sending them.
