All I want is a clock to tell me what time it is when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee, and to charge my phone.

One good thing about mine is I can just ask it what time it is without even opening my eyes.

I'll go first. Changing our clocks has got to be the most ridiculous 'ritual' in modern times. Pick a time, anytime, set clocks and go. The sun doesn't care. The birds and the bees don't care. There is only so much light each day and it will be present regardless of our clock setting. If DST shows a shadow on a new moon, can we burn it at the stake?

I've been staying up till 11 for a week so when the change comes, I can start going back to bed at 10.

I've been clear that DST is somewhere on a spectrum of ritualistic, silly and asinine. Having said that, I live within a state that has made the decision to adhere to DST (Mitch!!!). I accept this. We should, however, be on central time. Or so says me if I were king.
