"production video" with the usual crap.

I still get a chuckle at things like this when folks are whooping and hollering about their shot.

Watch and learn...the dogs are the champs in the field. Hunters are along for the ride.

    Some very good french britts.

And now a little break for some "really big pheasants"!

    PS: The dogs are outstanding!

I used to hunt peacock in SE Indiana. Old abandoned farmstead where the farmer had peacock and hey became feral. Basically like a big pheasant. Dogs would point them and we'd flush. Taste like pheasant too, maybe better.

    Went out today.

Birds were flushing well ahead of the dogs and dogs seemed to be having a tough time scenting.

Wonder if it had anything to do with the fact it was about 20 degrees.

Still an enjoyable day with the dogs.

Recently my daughter (19) has expressed an interest in giving pheasant hunting a try. I know there are public land put & take hunts, but those can be difficult without a dog. Also, based on precious experience, there are way too many hunters per area and too many knuckleheads shooting recklessly.
So, anyone have any recommendations for any hunting preserves here in IN?
Get a hold of your local chapter of pheasants forever or quail forever.
Most do youth hunts every year just for this situation.
They will supply the dog and gun if needed.
