Question about the Daniel Defense rifle length omega rail. It says it's not to be used with low profile gas blocks or shorter gas systems. Why?

I don't know but my guess is that as skinny as those rails are they won't fit over your standard low profile block.

ETA: Found this from DD's rep on AR15.com:

Our Omega Rail 9.0 and 12.0 will fit over a low profile gas block on a barrel with a carbine lenght gas system. Our website used to state that this was not recommended as the the sole purpose of the Omega Rail was to be able to add a free float rail system to your rifle without any gunsmithing or modifications to your rifle required. Obviously to install the Omega over a low profile gas block requires that you pull the FSB, Handguard Cap completely off your barrel.

Looks like it will work if you go lo-pro.

I just looked on their site, and I can't find anything about this.

I currently run their 9" rail over a low profile gas block.

You have to click on the rifle length Omega handguard for more info.

I take it back - it says it on most of the reseller sites

I found it on the Daniel Defense site:

The Omega Rail 12.0™ is designed to work with rifle length AR15 gas systems. It is not to be used in conjunction with a low profile gas block or shorter length gas systems. All Daniel Defense Rail Systems are built to the 1913 Military Specification and are 100% Quality Assurance checked for conformity to the specification.

This is what I got from DD:

"That is a good question. In short, because that isnt what it was designed to do. It will absolutely work just fine (as I have done it many times); however the Omega family of rails is designed to be a drop in rail utilizing the existing delta assembly. The Omega X family of rails is designed more to be used in conjunction with low profile gas blocks utilizing its proprietary barrel nut while still maintaining the same profile of the Omega."
