Question from another thread for the whole bean crowd.
1. Which grinder do you use?
2. How do you store your beans? And for how long?
Conical burr grinder. My favorite was a Breville that I bought many years ago. My current is one I found on Amazon, a Solis Scala:Discuss all things coffee.
Question from another thread for the whole bean crowd.
1. Which grinder do you use?
I buy them, 2lbs at a time (since that is the batch size for their roaster), roasted to order from Cabin Coffee in Avon. I store them in a cabinet away from heat (cool, dark place), until I finish them. They are best within the first 2-3 weeks after being roasted.2. How do you store your beans? And for how long?
The freezer is very, very bad for freshly roasted beans.I am most interested in long term storage methods. Preferably not the freezer but will do it that way if necessary.

Oh no already a feud within the first few posts lolI keep my beans in the sealed bag in the freezer until needed. Let them get to room temp before opening.

Same I will drink any just looking for something for those special occasions ever since I started drinking it black… I pay more attention to the actual coffee<--- not a coffee snob
If it's hot, black and less than 5 or so hrs old I'll usually drink it
I use a drip because I can schedule it the night before and wake up to fresh coffeeNot a snob but I do prefer Kona (not the blends). Just started grinding whole bean. Yes I use a drip coffeemaker because

Funny, I get called a coffee snob because I cannot drink the “less than 5pr so hrs” coffee and like my Keurig. I like the whole grind/press process and most of all the taste, but in the typical morning I love my Keurig…surely there are way more coffee snobs than this on here
convenience definitely wins during the week. Now on a weekend, maybe one of those other methods for sure.Funny, I get called a coffee snob because I cannot drink the “less than 5pr so hrs” coffee and like my Keurig. Same but $20 single cup coffee maker and always have a new spare.
