I kept fighting and hating those. I was quite drugged up, so I wasn't completely aware even after they explained a few times. It wasn't until they started reducing the meds that I became more aware.

I knew all along I had them on, but I was more concerned with fighting to pull through after my quadruple bypass surgery.
My lungs felt crunched and I had the full oxygen mask on til the 3rd day after.
But I'm doing fine today for being a fat old man!

I ended up losing 40 to 50 pounds at the time. F all cancer, always and forever.

I hear you about cancer.
It's a terrible thing beyond words.
I've had some close people, including some in my family survive it and some die from it.
By the grace of God I've so far been spared.
