Seems like a great class to take. Anyone know if they offer something like this around Indy or Hamilton Co?

This is what Tennessee did, after passing constitutional carry. Smart!

I'm not sure our police administrators would go for anything that would promote constitutional carry? All I've ever heard out of Indiana LEO administrations is blaming constitutional carry for "gun violence."

    Maybe I'm mistaken?

Indy did get new streetlights so I know how much that helped with crime

I don’t know if they still do it but the Bedford PD put on a pretty good class and the sheriff’s department did one too. The PD class, I used to see advertised pretty regularly but I haven’t seen it mentioned since covid.

    That's great to hear!

That said, the two hour video above is essentially the whole class they run in Tennessee. It's a great primer for shooters, new and old. It'd be an essential watch prior to any gun handling for new gun owners.

I just sent an email to my sheriff asking if we do this. I don't think we do.
I ask if we didn't what would it take to make it happen on at least a yearly basis for all ages.

I included this video as a reference.

Looks like 2019 was the last class.

I just heard back from Ripley County Sheriff Bradley about having them do a similar course here in Ripley County.

He's going to speak to his attorney, and his firearms instructor about getting a class set up.
I sent him the video @bwframe posted.
He said he sent that to his firearms instructor as well.

So maybe we can get a class setup for Ripley County citizens in the near future.

If you are a citizen of Ripley County contact Sheriff Bradley, and let him know your interested in this as well.
If you aren't a citizen of Ripley County contact Sheriff Bradley and give him encouragement to get a class started.
Please be respectful, he's a nice guy.
