    Wouldn't use BLO...use to do that but in hot weather it bleeds. Stain of your choice works but the grain doesn't look to bad. I like Tung oil form realmilkpaint.com. I got a M14 off gun broker stained horrible, almost black. Stripped it and found amazing USGI wood grain. Instead of stain I decided t just use Tung oil...wow. Good stuff.

    Boy, getting that trigger group back in is a bear!! Never gonna remove it as long as I live!
    Back in the day, I used to help a dealer friend at the gun shows. We were always set up near the entrance to the shows. He would sell guns and I would help people reassemble their SKS's, that they had taken apart and could not get put back together. Also installed homebrew gas rings in the grenade cut-off on Yugo SKS's.
    Also helped people with their ****tastic Heese/Blackthorn AR's.
