Never underestimate charisma. He's fooled most of the people of my generation. If we are lax, not only in our voting for President, BUT ALSO OUR CONGRESS!!!! then change WILL come. Nobody thought the AWB would come, and here we are now, just after it expired.

Instead of worrying about this or that, worry about who you are going to vote for in congress. They get to veto you know.... People are so preoccupied with the Presidency b/c its one person and therefore "easier" to hate or love the person. But reality is, Congress has a huge stake in our political ebb and flow. But its too hard for most folks to 1. understand how much pull Congress has but also 2. to research who is running and who they like. The President is a manager, lets focus on hiring the actual board members than the plant manager. The President can only go so far.

. . . instead of worrying about this or that, worry about who you are going to vote for in congress.

Yup, Congress makes domestic policy. The President, no matter who it is can promise whatever he (or she :shudder: ) wants, but it can't happen if there aren't enough legislators willing to support the legislation. If we don't want gun bans, we have to elect Senators and Representatives that are pro-gun, or who at least have an individual rights interpretation of the 2nd Amendment. An anti-gun President can't hurt us as long as the Houses of Congress are on our side, but a pro-gun President can't help us if they aren't.
