ccw j frame holster recommendation? also, do older models actually fit improperly in modern holsters or is it that exaggerated?

considering the phlster city special, but curious to hear what those who carry recommend.

my gun is an 80s model and ive read that older j frames fit sloppily in a new holster - how true have y'all found this to be?

I can offer no input on older pistols fitting into newer holsters.

I have a Smith 642 hammer less revolver for those special occasions.
I use either an Galco ankle glove ankle holster or a crossbreed for waist holster.

For an ankle rig, I’m extremely happy with the wilderness tactical setup.
