I don’t live around here.

Anyone know if they have metal detectors/wands?

jedi was at the hammond civic center pre covid-19 in 2018 for local fundraiser fair and there were no metal detectors or wanding back then.

I'm sorry to hear you have to go to Hammond....and for a circus to boot!

But hey, if you're going to go to Hammond you may as well get real pizza!

While I don't believe any school is in the actual Civic Center, it is on the same property/site as the Hammond High School. Does that matter.....
I checked the circus's FAQ and tried the Civic Center for "are firearms allowed" with no luck.

Edit: 1 officer in the parking lot, 1 officer in the building.

Looking at the Lake County Indiana GIS portal the hammond civic center is owned by the city of hammond, parks and recreation department.

Note the adjacent lot is owned by the school city of hammond and is SCHOOL PROPERTY.

So you are lawful to go to the civi center with firearm.
