The Martinsville Conservation Club is hosting Bob Whaley for a two day basic carbine course on June 19 - 20. A few slots are still available. You don't have to be a member to participate.

Bob is a nationally recognized firearms trainer of the highest quality. He is a 28 year veteran in law enforcement having retired as a Lieutenant with the St. Louis County (Mo) Police Department. His assignments included 15 years with the department’s Tactical Operations Unit (SWAT) during which he received training in a variety of Weapons Systems and Tactical Applications. Bob attended his first class at Gunsite in 1989 and began instructing there in 2005. He is now a Senior Rangemaster. Bob is also on staff as an instructor with Paul Howe’s CSAT (Combat Shooting And Tactics).

If you do a Youtube search for “Bob Whaley shooting” you can view a number of short videos produced by the National Shooting Sports Foundation that feature Bob.

The cost of the training for two days is $225. That’s a remarkable value considering that many national level trainers get $450 or more for a two day course.

For a course outline, see https://www.sportsmansconservationclub.org/whaleycarbine12021.htm Students will need to show by some means they are not prohibited from possessing/operating a firearm. They can show a current concealed carry endorsement from their state of residence, receipt from the purchase of a firearm within the last 12 months, a CDL, teacher/school official ID or a police record check as proof.

To register, send $225 to Martinsville Conservation Club, PO Box 2073, Martinsville, IN 46151 ATTN: Whaley Training

It's no surprise not many have heard of him. He does zero self promotion. It's just not in his DNA. He only teaches at Gunsite, CSAT and Martinsville on a regular basis. I know he does one off classes by special request if they fit in his schedule and is something he
would enjoy doing. I consider ourselves extremely lucky to be on his list.
