and to think I waited for 8 months on the ATF to get me ok'ed for my can. Wonder if this would have worked better.

You missed the point. You still would have waited 8 months. It just would have been shipped directly to you from the factory instead of sitting in your LGS' safe for those 8 months.

I'm very surprised that you are allowed to get a suppressor chipped to your door legally, isn't it considered a firearm in the eyes of the ATF? Seems like that would require an FFL just based on that alone.

    They are an FFL SOT.
    They’re now sponsoring Hickok45.

On a side note when Sig issued the “voluntary safety update for the p320” when I sent my gen 1 p320 in I got back a p320 with the updated FCU with a different serial number to my house. I know because I kept track of the numbers. Manufacturers with an FFL can send it direct to the end user if they go through the paperwork. I’ve seen the specific legal codes posted elsewhere that allows them to do this.

Saw an ad in the mail for these guys and wondered about this myself, think I have enough stamps for awhile but after reading up if I was looking for another I think this would be where I would go.

Sounds cool... 'til it gets lost in shipping, and you're doing it all over again because the serial number is different.

I'd rather it be in the safe at the dealer... like mine is right now.
