A lot of people today tend to think of our body running on food and water. When in reality we run on oxygen. Just like changing a diet, changing the levels and methods of breathing have a huge impact on your entire body. A cool one to watch is Wim Hof for an idea on how crazy our lazy lifestyles have effected the way our body works and how breathing and mindset can regain something in our body that has been, in a way, hibernating.

I’m gonna have to listen to this later.

I’ve read “breath” by James Nestor and I highly recommend it.

prior to that book I was a lifelong mouth and chest breather. Making the conscious effort to breath with my diaphragm and breath with my nose has literally changed my life. My sleep quality has gone up dramatically and my runs are so much easier.

makes me wonder if I had discovered this earlier in my life ,when I was maxing my 2 mile PT test, what I would have been capable of.

we do a disservice to today’s youth not educating them on this. The way in which we take in our oxygen has to potential to change our lives.

    Jiu-jitsu can save your life.

    Alcohol can make you drunk...
But it won't make you smarter. ;)

I'm wondering why this is some kind of revelation among a bunch of firearms shooters?
Positioning and breath control should have been shooting training 101.

Breath control instruction from my cross country coach and martial arts instructors...

    "How do I shoot better?"
Take training from a good instructor.

"How do I make my race car faster around the track?"
Go to driving school with a good instructor.

    "How do you reload?"
Take training from a good instructor.

"How do I learn to fight?"
Take training from a good instructor.

"How do you learn to fly?"
Take training from a good instructor.

    Anyone seeing a pattern? :)
