Everyone's been saying the charge will be for making an illegal in-kind campaign contribution. the articles I've read made it sound like DoJ is bringing the charges by the NY US Attorney. It's hard to prove it's an in-kind campaign contribution anyway. But since it's a DA, I have no idea how that would be in their jurisdiction to bring those charges.

So maybe it's not campaign finance.

Have you never seen DoJ step in with federal charges when the state trial didn't go the way it was supposed to? Remember them waiting in the wings to charge Chauvin and pull the case to federal court if needed?

Maybe he infringed Stormy's constitutional rights as a well used landing pad somehow

It would likely be more effective to suffer the vapors about schtupping a porn star, like some members do incessantly, but I think they don't HAVE any truly moral beliefs (about that or much of anything) so likely don't believe that would work due to their own internal biases

I could care less how he acted and what he says. I care about ones record for doing what they say and how they vote.
