So he’s appeasing the poor rail unions that thought it was unfair that the government stepped in to avoid a full rail strike. I know, the citizens of the US don’t mind me using their tax dollars for political gain.
How did we ever get where we are today. The Biden monarchy must be stopped.

The reality of the situation is that you have to be an idiot to not see where the nation has went... you can be on the D team and get taken care of by the government, or you can be on the R team and be investigated by the government.

is he going to prop up all the working mans 401s that has went to **** last year and a half??
No, he's going to look for new ways to tax them like Yellen's proposal to tax the paper value of your account annually

That way, if your account ends this year down 16% and ends next year only down 8% you would have had a taxable gain of 8% of the value of your account, even though you are in the red overall

I’m a little confused. Where does this money come from ? is it funds buried in the Inflation Reduction Act legislation ? How on God’s green earth can this “free money” keep getting distributed at taxpayer’s expense ?

Is the need for funding of this type why liberals claim large corporations aren‘t “paying their share ?”

So did the pension fund offer any explanation along with accounting evidence to say where all their memberships money went?
$$$ in is less than projected $$$ out.

The boring answer is that they pay people way too much, let them retire way too early, and they live way too long when they do. Pensions are a pyramid scheme propped up by the eternal expansion of the pyramid base. They stop working when the pyramid inverts and there are no longer a dozen workers paying in to cover what one retiree is drawing.

When they originally ran the numbers, the average Teamster smoked or drank himself to death by 60.

Unions shouldn't be giving **** to any political party. Unions should be there to negotiate between employer and employees period. Full stop.

ETA: Full disclosure - I am pretty anti-union, having worked as a non-union employee in a GM plant and seeing the BS that they got away with.

can't much negotiate when the government steps in and says no just keep working.
