Can he just do that? Nobody bailed out my company's pension fund before I retired and, contrary to promises made to me during the hiring process, I received ****.

Screw ‘em! I had to take a haircut on my pension fund when my employer fell on hard times. I’m not getting near what I was projected to get before the hair cut. It sucks. Just because they’re a union doesn’t make them any more immune to bad luck, bad leadership, and bad decisions over the years.

Unions shouldn't be giving **** to any political party. Unions should be there to negotiate between employer and employees period. Full stop.

ETA: Full disclosure - I am pretty anti-union, having worked as a non-union employee in a GM plant and seeing the BS that they got away with.
