I recently bought a new wheeler fat wrench for torqueing down smaller things like optics, etc. I really like it but the few bits that came with it leave a lot to be desired. For those of you who use the fat wrench, can you please recommend some better replacement bits or bit set to use it with it that would work well for tinkering on firearms? I'm not a gunsmith, just an enthusiast.
    Thanks

That looks like it gives you a lot of options for the price. The masterforce brand though has bitten me in the past in regards to durability. How well have the bits been holding up for you?

I have not had any fail me yet with the exception of one of the very small hex bits twisting but that's not the tools fault IMO..

If you really want to spend some coin - take a look at Fix-it-Sticks.

I bought a set and some extras for my range bag. Super handy - really expensive....

I just googled fix it sticks. Wow-you weren't kidding. Those are really spendy. They do look very nice and look to be well made-so I imagine they will hold for someone even going into battle. A little too much to spend for me right now, so I will check out those other ones you suggested. Thanks though

Don't normally say this, but, Brownell's is your best friend for these kinds of bits.
    Specifically THIS set.

I've had and used these since about 1990 and haven't broken, bent, deformed or stripped any of them.
Lost one or two and bought a few as addons, but they've been perfect.

I was wondering when someone was going to mention the magna-tip sets
