I’ve been been to Evan williams experience, Old Forester, and Michters all on bourbon row in downtown Louisville. Rabbit Hole and Angel’s Envy are both in walking distance, too. You can even rent one of those electric scooters if you aren’t up to walking

Well opened a KC 2001 (batch 3) It was time since I have finally collected all 3 batches to pop one it is a winner for sure. The second pic is me holding the grail that my friend won this past month. He is gonna open it in October with me and a few other friends.

Went to Frankfort KY to do some the Flee Markets and hit Turkey and Buffalo Trace Distilleries .
Picked up our 3 month limit of Eagle at BF and Bought a bottle of overpriced Turkey 101 but the cool part was Jimmy Russel was there to sign the bottles for us .

Meijer Kokomo has a spot on the shelf for Blanton's. Just happened to be there the same day a guy (not a store employee) was stocking the shelves. Asked him about the Blanton's and he said this store “might“ get one bottle every three months, but no way to know when in advance, not a regular schedule.

Meijer must have got several good shipments as of late. Up and down the shelves at first and nothing as normal really caught my eye but then behind some bottles on the bottom right side these gems.

Definitely NOT under $50, but thought this would be the best thread to reach bourbon drinkers here. (Anybody have $18K+ burning a hole in their pocket? :faint:)

Carmel father raffling off collection of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon in hopes proceeds help find cure for son

Heck I bought one. For a good cause and might be a lucky one. 1/4000 chance.....

Four Roses has always been a favorite. This is what really got me drinking/collecting bourbon about 5 years ago. Cheers on this balmy Saturday night. View attachment 155670
Solid bottle............and cheers back at ya.
Have ya pulled the cork on that Old Forester Single Barrel-Barrel Strength yet? I'm a big fan of the 1910 and 1920, would like to know if it stands up to them.

Not yet. I usually dont hesitate to pop what I get pretty fast after purchase because almost every bottle I own is open besides a select few $$. Its been so hot this is the first pour ive had in a couple weeks. I will get to them this week tho and let you know.:rockwoot:

Yeah, bourbon isn’t great when it’s 93 degrees. Bring on fall!

Anyway, I recently picked up some French Lick bourbon made from kasha. Very interesting coffee notes.

I did open one of them this week. OFBS 127 proof this is a meijer select pick. As expected its very good lots of sweet honey and cinnamon at first then its a wild hot finish. It is the first pour from the bottle and I expect it to get better in a few weeks as it airs out. Its not my favorite but when it comes to bourbon one you hate may be your buddys go to drink. I just really am spoiled on the Elijah Craig BP and Stagg Jr at this point. I do have a Russells 13 BP im saving for family Thanksgiving that may give them a run tho. 20210901_185318.jpg
