Picked up a very nice P229 today…. In 357 SIG but a barrel change to 40 will happen soon enough. Also won a S&W 4006TSW CHP …. I consider these the pinnacle of the 4006.
finally took my 4006 to the range saturday. i bought it a few years ago and just now taking it to the range. it is a very nice pistol.

can't believe how solid it feels. i will definitely be workes into the carry rotation

I looked into them with the intent to order some but came across some apparent warnings about dealing with them etc….. I don’t know if it’s true or not but if they are good to go that’s a splendid price!!!

Did you get your car fixed?
    Not yet.
It's OK as long as I stay close to home and don't let the engine get fully hot soaked.
If I do, the engine starts missing and barely runs.

I don't have the reserve funds to take it in because I fear it'll get in the shop and I won't have the cash to get it out.

When I need to get anywhere of any distance, I arrange for my wife to drive me in her car.

    In 40 I prefer the Glock 23

Yep love my Glock 23. 40 S&W is for sure a snappy round but the Glock 23 manages it well and 100% of the time.
The 180 HST rounds for carry aren't bad at all in the 23. My target rounds are all Federal 165 FMJ. You can tell a difference over the 180 but still manageable. I compare the 165's to the 124 +P in my nines recoil wise. I would have no problem carrying .40 on a regular basis again if needed to.
