Benelli SuperNova ?'s

I have a Nova now with cantilever slug barrel and the regular 24" field barrel. I'm very happy with it, but I would like the pistol grip stock and the tactical barrel.

I figure I could get the Benelli SuperNova Tactical with the ghost rings and pistol grip and I'd be set, but is the back ghost ring on these guns removable? If so, then the cantilever scope mount could fit and I would be set and ready to go with all three barrels on one gun.

And have an extra nova receiver, but oh well.

Are there any other options to get what I want besides my idea?

I have a SuperNova as well with the 18.5" tactical barrel with the blade-style sights, you might look at one of these for an optics mount incorportated with a side-saddle. I don't know if the rear sight is removable, but they show it still installed with this setup if you're interested.

Glad to hear from another satisfied Benelli SuperNova owner! I love mine so far, I've added a tacstar +3 mag tube extension to make it a 7+1. I'll likely order that same shellcarrier/rail setup I linked you to.

Those are pretty cool. But are the ghost rings on your Supernova removable or appear to be? Is there a screw running vertical down through the assembly? I already have the cantilever scoped rifled-slug barrel, and I would like to make this fit, but the ghost rings (same thing as the blade sights you mention I believe) would have to come off for this too work.

Does it remotely look like the site is removable?

You could get the tactical model SuperNova and leave the cantilever barrel on the Nova as a dedicated slug gun. This would defeat the purpose if you were wanting to shoot slugs with the pistol grip though.

I didn't mean to mislead you, I don't have the ghost rings on mine, as it is only the SuperNova Comfortech, not the tactical, so I don't have the Ghost Ring sights, I have fixed blade sights on mine. Sorry, I don't know if they're removable.
