One problem I have with her speech so far (7.30), is she stated NY didn't send patients to the Naval Hospital Ship.
I could be wrong. But I think I remember that the Hospital Ship was there for non-Covid cases.
That they were supposed to do "regular" medical stuff, broken bones and such.

That was the original idea but that changed.
After being very under used, treating only 182 patients, 70% of which were COVID patients, it left New York.

The USNS Mercy was sent to Los Angeles to help there. It only treated 77 patients - although some of them were surgeries so it did help.
77 Patients, 77, think about that number 77.

The USNS Mercy has 1000 beds, 80 of them ICU.

And only 77 people was treated.

77 patients is not help, they basically used it as a outpatient facility.

The Comfort was also under utilized as well as each and every facility that was constructed.
    All in BLUE occupied areas.

Yes, I just meant that of those 77 patients, 36 were surgeries so at least those 36 patients could have their surgery without catching wuhu.

Here is a study that looks at prescription drug use as a potential risk enhancer for severe COVID-19.

Do the prescription drugs we take set us up for severe COVID-19?
Too many medications raises risk of severe COVID-19
The drugs named included popular sedatives, anticholinergics, opioids, psychotropic medications and proton pump inhibitors.

They point to prescription drug use as a risk factor but I'm thinking maybe it is the underlying condition being treated with the drugs that is the real risk factor.
