I saw this also on Thursday - and the report I read stated it was going to take several weeks to recover from the flooding.

Not having been on the forum for a while, I just scanned some of this thread. My take on it is FDA ineptitude and incompetence, while navel gazing about COVID and scheming about what the next news cycle of messaging should contain. In the meantime, Dereliction of Duty occurs with nobody saying anything about the consequences of 40% of baby formula suddenly going offline combined with the recall. The Whitehouse West Wing is too busy navel gazing over their Woke Progressive Socialist Agenda and messaging on who to cast blame on next for runaway inflation not seen since Carter. They're oblivious to what's happening in the Real World. It's another demonstration of the entire Administration's ineptitude, incompetence, dereliction of duty and willful blindness/neglect. It continues to be ignored until media screeching about it becomes deafening, and then it's all about messaging who to blame for it. The story about the FDA mailroom not processing the original whistleblower letter properly to its correct destination is a priceless bureaucratic deflection blaming some anonymous GS-1 minions. Real blame for the shortage? Once again, Putin did it! It's what you get when you hire people based on Intersectional Theory to check all the woke demographic boxes for the allegedly oppressed instead of considering their competence and ability. Their strategy for everything that happens is press release messaging; it's all about the messaging. It's never about actually doing something productive to solve real problems. In the meantime, Failed Mayor Pete is still out riding his bike around ferreting out the racist roads and bridges that must be demolished. Thus endeth my rant on the baby formula - except to add all the airlift did was create a cloud of dust and the thunder of hooves for a couple days of formula supply at best - it would require an effort along the magnitude of the Berlin Airlift to make a difference.
