I've just got the one, a Windham Weaponry VEX with 20" bbl, .223, 1:8 twist, Elftmann Trigger and a first gen Vortex PST. It is a bit heavy; but, it sure does shoot well!

How do you like the trigger? I'm really considering one instead of a Geissele on the next build from many positive reviews I've seen but I'm wearing from a few negatives I've seen about them breaking after just around only 1000 rounds

RRA PDS redux: ALG ACT trigger, MOE grip, Magpul back up sights, CTR stock with SIG green dot MSR and Juliet 3X magnifier.

I know the PDS was an evolutionary dead end, and I know there are better guns, but it is a fave of mine.

Kirk I admire your collection  i remember seeing these come out and thought it made a lot of sense. Too bad to see it dead end.

Is that rifle as heavy as I think it is?

Recent reconfiguration I did. Feeling a bit nostalgic so I put together this M4 ish clone. That upper is actually a non forward assist and I kinda dig it. Anderson upper and lower with a Bear Creek barrel. Very good for the money, no issues whatsoever. Definitely not as nice as my 14.5 middy but it’s not always about performance sometimes. 6443FA2D-FB93-491C-B654-76142FDD6A21.jpeg

I love the trigger. It is the ELF Single Stage Match Trigger and I purchased it through the Windham Weaponry accessory website. It has close to 1000 rounds through it, including two weekends at the KD range at Camp Atterbury, with no issue.

Fresh back from AllenM again for a couple changes.

New carbon fiber handguard, barrel cut and p/w for the suppressor still in jail.

Just a hair over 5lbs flat. Going to change out the grip and charging handle to go away from the FDE since the handguard change. And it'll save about 2.5 ounces more to get right under 5lbs.

After that it'll come in at 5.5lbs with suppressor and the optic when my scalarworks mount gets here.

Here are the two ARs currently in the stable. Both are set up with the same "touch points" to make transitioning between them easier. There is a heavy and a light version.

    My "Heavy" AR Setup
