Anyone See a New Marlin/Ruger 1895 (.45-70) in the Wild?

when I first got the email that it was back in stock is was priced at $1299.00

When I got the 2nd email a day later it was priced at $1499.00

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............drat it

Well, I'll just admire it from afar. I won't pay more than $1200 for one. That's as far as I could stretch. I'll hang on to my Marlin 1895. The bullets and targets won't know the difference.

I've owned one for two years. Love it. Took a white tail last year with 325 gr hornady using the peep sights. I've upgraded to a burris 1 to 4.

O.p. was asking about the new, Ruger made Marlins.
If you've had yours for two years, I don't think it's a Ruger made.
They only hit dealers shelves in December of 2021 as far as I know.

I have a Remington made Marlin model 1895 in .45-70 gvt and it is one nice rifle.
Not at all the mess a lot of people talk about when discussing "Remlins".
Mine shoots to point of aim and is pretty slick in the action.
I've used mine to take a deer.
