I picked up a Marlin 1894 25-20 made in 1902 to see what all the fuss is about old, obscure calibers. Most importantly it has a good bore. Didn't cost too much for a lever gun these days. It needs a range trip.

Those old rifles are neat. I want one made before 1930, but was later converted to a more modern caliber like 357 magnum or 44 at the factory. A lot of these conversions were done before WW2.

Hickok45 has an 1892 Winchester that the company rechambered to 357 from 32-20 I believe

There's enough barrel to convert this thing to something else if I wanted to but I already have a .357 and 44 lever gun among others. Never know though.

5 guns so far in 2023, but you have to realize that I had no guns before the summer of "peaceful protests." Then upon getting a gun, I started getting interested in them and like any person who is fascinated by mechanical things and tools, I got more and more interested in building a collection of guns.

so this year I bought a Sig P938 9mm, S&W Chief's Special .45 ACP, and three S&W revolvers that were just too good of deals to pass up: Two .38 Specials (Model 10 and Model 15) and a .41 Magnum!

A box of 50 single-use internal combustion engines is pretty cool to have and expend!

I have bought 2. Probably the best 2 I have from the same INGOer.
    Colt Gold Cup 1978
Winchester 52 Lyman peep sights 1956
Soon to get the unertal scope for it.
I love these 2 and will definitely be leaving them to my son.

A 50 year old one... in fact, right here off INGO just yesterday.
A Winchester 9422 (circa 1973) with a Redfield Baby 4X. Both in near perfect condition.

I had a 9422M (the .22WMR) and it was a dandy gun, but somewhere along the line a previous owner must have clipped some coils off the hammer spring: every 10 rounds or so would have a soft strike and wouldn't fire. It was back before the internet, and I wasn't able to find a new hammer spring, so I traded it off. But don't feel too bad for me, because for it and $200 I got a new Marlin 1895 .45-70 in trade! Still have the Marlin and it is a joy. Ballard rifling, but with the original thick receiver.
