Hey I got a doe last week and got to use this knife for skinning....and loved it! What was really great is that I could cut, and pull the skin and just go back the other way, the curve blade is very nice for that if and when needed. Just felt right in my hand. I used it to butcher the meat into chunks but for butchering I like a larger longer blade.
