    I know nothing about these. They were on their way to the junkyard and I had to save them. Any information you can tell me is much appreciated. The lathe is complete from what I can tell. My wife’s great aunt passed, this was her husbands. He was sailor in WWII and was machining before the war. He died in the late 1990’s. The family offered it up free if I could take it. It about killed me but I saved them. Please tell me it was worth the effort. They were both very heavy and killer on the back.

    There May be a date code on the motor tag. I know a lot of motors in the 1950-1980 had them. Yours looks older. Could be the actual date or a code for the days. Looks like it originally had a flat belt.
