Yikes! That must be some seriously awful bullet construction to get that type of over expansion out of a 7.62x39 round.

Chootem posted above he has had great success with them.
So two reports one loves them the other doesn't.
Need more information to make a educated decision.
I'm still curious about their accuracy.

That's a great ad for Fiocchi. Reminds me of a knock-off OTF vs real Microtech video I recently watched. Dude had to drive the knock-off like a nail with a hammer into a 2x4 to get it to fail.



With any "modern" ammo I think we're splitting hairs for mix-maxing internet points. It's like everyone thinks firearms and cartridges are some super-duper complex thing.

22lr federal punch is good stuff.
Evey video I've seen it tested in shows it is consistently penetrates deep.

If you use 22lr for edc Punch looks like the best out there.

Stay away from AAC 357mag 158gr HP ammunition. Total junk just over 1000fps in a 4" barrel. Garbage.
They need to go back and develop a better load for this.
Box said 1230fps maybe in a 16" Henry rifle.

Norma MHP 10mm
Around 90 caliber expansion from G29 and G20.
Very weak velocity. If you was a reloader you could buy a box, and pull the bullet, and load it up to full power 10mm. 155gr bullet should get 1400fps without even going over pressure.

Do you remember the original Norma 10mm load? a 200 grain soft point at 1200 fps? That is what made the 10mm!

May want to rethink your 45acp carry ammo choice if short barrel.

Every gel test I've seen with IWI die cut HP they are a failure to expand. For self defense I'd stay away from these.
