Where do you all shoot your bows? Just in the woods or do you practice at a range? Can't wait to get back to my club - my family shoots at Pine Hill in Danville, IN

I have 90 yd range in my yard. I also shoot 3d and just got into field archery a few years ago, so I shoot at various clubs. I have shot Pine Hill several times for regular club shoots, ASA, and field.

Used to shoot Walton's Glen over in Marion, they no more.

I just shoot in my yard now.

Have been fletching a bit lately. Not to test if I ever get a day with less than sailing winds

I shot a couple of morning back when this pandemic started. It was nice to go out, in the morning when it was calm. Since, it has, been windy, just about everyday, cold, and turkey season. Hopefully now I get time to go back out.

Have fletch, new bottle of glue, but am lazy/tired.
    Might start em tomorrow.
I like good light, quiet..........relax while I work.
Just too late to start a batch tonight.

Did see where Mack's Prairie Wings has the Muzzy LVX bowfishing lever bow in orange.
    Looks pretty nice.

Only goes to 50# max and reportedly, when set properly (aftermarket string/cables) won't hit that (maybe 45#)
    Wish it hit 55#

    Id deer hunt with one.

Did find #38 modules for my Aeroforce (so 50% letoff).
Need some quiver hood foam and to buy another gripper.

Then start tuning that old clunker up.
Think the 300 GTs will be used in both the Oneida and my Blackwidow recurve.

    Mine is a metal riser..........HS from '91.
It has the radiused shelf and FF rated limbs.

It looks like this one (my old B50 rated one from '75), but limb attach is slightly different and the butts of the limbs on the FF angle a little.
The older ones had a flat shelf.

The '75 was semi gloss, had reg limb bolts and another inner pin that was threaded, when limb on, protruded and a little brass collar went on.
Liked the two threaded devices per limb.

My '83 was still B50 rated, same flat blocky limb buts, and had the limb bolts but used a non threaded pin inward for alignment.

My '91 is same way. The 83 has some buzz and it took an extra set of woolies to quiet it down.

    Blackwidow SA2 2001, 58" and 55#.
Deer was quartering away, entrance visible. Complete pass through, arrow ricocheted off sticks on the ground, kicked up and never was found.
Normally blow completely through my deer, w recurve.

The spike in the one pic, that arrow was buried in offside shoulder. That deer collapsed at the hit, never got up. 530gr arrow clobbered him at 25 yards.
Hitting offside leg, proly made him trip/fall and with the damage to other, was gone in seconds.

This little 8 was shot from 17 yards, seated, in a little tree that moved a LOT if I stood (leaves fell off and it was pretty horrible stand after that).
    But it worked.

Little deer, but a lot of fun w a stickbow LOL

Id like a new PCH, 56" and 48# but $1200 for a bow I might not shoot much (torn tendon in elbow plus bad back).........seems silly.
Really really like the standard grip on the wood risers, but the metal riser HS feels even better :)

Did shoot a couple from my old Oneida (purchased last yr, aint shot til just now).
    Yup..........it's loud, needs some tuning.

DAYAM is that fast! Got 50% modules for it so can shoot fingers down to 55#. Think it's around 62#.
Need to add some weight to some carbons and see if that helps.

Got some new 300's to test.

Idea is to run the Oneida, fingers.
If too funky, add draw stops and go with sights/release.
I could run the 80% modules on it then, but will proly buy 65%

Need to mod the orig quiver and find a wood grip for it. Old style, not new.
Eh, gives me a reason to check Ebay.

I've been shooting a white cock feather, red barred top hen and black bottom hen.....black shaft w white nock.

Usually steel wool the label off the shaft (like all black). 55/75 for a few bows had 50 gr added to reg alum insert.

Went purple barred for 55/75 w 100gr brass inserts (60#). Musta pulled em for the 55#.

The white, red barred and black w white nock has been my color for decades.

    Will do the 300's same.
