    How's it run. Gassed right?
Waiting for it to show, he was just shooting me the update. The last 2 he’s built for me have been great shooters. He drills the gas ports in-house. This is an AK Builder chrome lined barrel back when they were cheap. I’ve been sitting on this kit for about 4 years now. I’ll be about $900 all in.
(Edit: By the time I realized I forgot the upper hg, I was NOT repacking…) haha

20230212_133954.jpg Ain't no brakes on the AK binge buying train. Saw this bad boy and had to have it. Malcomar/Troy Sellars Circle 10 AKS-74. Matching kit, original Bulgy barrel, $1200 otd. Came with the Izzy Plum mag. Straight as an arrow and very clean. Only two gripes are the roll-pinned Tapco piston and slightly imperfect rear trunnion fitment. Both are easy fixes.

Picked this up today, champion 2007 essentially the pistol version of a sar-3. (Or a draco In 556)
Imported for only a year and read on the akforum that its likely only about 800 of them made it state side. (Not sure how accurate this number is)

Very nice! And you're correct - I don't think imports of these ever hit 1,000.

Welcome to the AK Files, by the way. I see you've already had the fortune of meeting Nails over there

I threw a Bulgy Red grip, sling, and a Russian made buttpad on the new AKS-74. It shoots great, irons zero fine, but no dice on the optic rail.
The rear trunnion fitment is kinda poor, the ears aren't fully seated and the receiver isn't square. Those issues aren't that bad, but the rivet at the rear of the optic rail is swelled between the receiver and rail. So optics can't zero. If I'm tearing it apart I'm gonna swap the rust queen NDS receiver too.
Still a solid purchase, matching '91 kit, uncommon neat parts, and an OG barrel.

These are labors of love, to say the least. Few people in the gun community truly understand that.

It's still a super cool gun - hope you get it running in the best fashion for you.
