Might be a dumb question ........Top row , all 4 from the right ........Would those be considered left hand ?
    Or something more obvious ......
No, it's just because of how the scabbard fits into the leather frog. Those are Romanian bayonets and they have a much larger, full-length leather frog than other types of AK bayonets. The scabbard has a protrusion, and the button on the handle sticks out, so it's better to have them facing outward instead of pressed up against the frog if that makes sense. I can post more pictures to illustrate later if you are interested.

Did you have to modify it to take the galil mags? Or does removing the plastic magwell convert it to rock and lock? Or am I completely lost and the 5.56 guns always too the rock and locks like the 5.45 and 7.62 models did?

The Gen 1 is closer to the original Gail, and takes the rock & lock mags.
Kinda cool historically, but harder to find and more expensive. Mine are all IWI originals, as it came with a couple of modified ones (with different followers) that would not work.

The Gen 2 models were modified at the factory to use the STANAG mags.

Very cool. The extra length of the galil mags always looks interesting.

Finally finished a project 20 years in the making....I might be done.

Ban era SLR-101, authentic Bulgarian milled rifle. Before it was even fired I sent it to Ohio Rapid Fire which I believe is now defunct or a shadow of its former self. They chopped the barrel and blind pinned an AMD-65 muzzle brake along with welding and blending the front sight and gas block together. After the ban sunset the break was traded out for an SVD style birdcage flash suppressor.

I shot it several years as a fixed stock with plastic and really nice Ironwood maple furniture set. Then I went tactical and put a Midwest industries railed handguard set along with an AR-15 style collapsible stock and Tec-sights rear peep.

Current configuration is the original handguards, original rear sight and a bone steel folding stock. This is my favorite iteration by far.
