If you have more budgeted for mags/ammo beyond 1400 then look for a good used BCM or Daniel.
If the only options at all are the 2 you mentioned then depends if you'll run it hard. Will it live in your closet and see 30rds every few years (if at all)? then who cares just flip a coin...

How much ammo do you have?

Maybe you should look at another platform and caliber for the present time?
I agree, I know several acquaintances that went out and bought Gucci Glocks and mid to high tier ARs that are now effectively paper weights. I would want at least a few hundred rounds on hand for any new gun, what fun is a new toy if you can’t play with it?

I have an FN Tac II. Very happy with it.

BCM is solid choice, but I do not believe that they d&p (I am old and I like that). This may have changed but regardless feedback about BCM is very positive.

Colt, Centurion, FN, LWRCI, etc. we are blessed with many solid choices.

My understanding is the S&W M&P 15 Sport 2 is not mil spec. Is that true? If so what if any mil spec parts can be used in them?
I don't buy and sell everyday but BACK in a day, I had heard this also. Not sure if it's true.

That said it meets the 80/20 rule anyway and I go with buying the S&W.
