ACC is holding it annual Open House on the 31st from noon til 4.
We're primarily a 'shooting sports' club and we'll have most of the 'shooting games' that we represent at the club on display - along with the FIRSTSHOTS program,
We'll have stages set up for IDPA, USPSA, SASS, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, and a Gun Safety area where experienced shooters can get a refresher course on safe gun handling and range protocols.
And, we'll have plenty of free hot dogs and chips and sodas through our the day!
The FIRSTSHOTS program is designed to introduce guns to folks that have never shot a firearm, or never held a firearm, or maybe, are a little afraid of firearms? We will discuss the rules of gun safety, proper range etiquette, the correct mechanics of shooting a firearm, and the actual shooting of the firearm!
You get to shoot for the first time!
We'll also discuss Indiana gun law briefly, how to obtain an Indiana gun license, and several types of firearms and their uses - self-defense, casual plinking, competitive shooting, hunting, survival, etc.
And, if you have your own firearm, you're certainly welcome to bring it along to shoot! Bring a box of ammo too!
Just be aware that ACC is a 'cold range'. That means we'd like you to have your firearm in it's container/range bag, and the ammunition kept separately. You will be instructed on when and where you can load your firearm.
If you have any interest in joining ACC, we'll have membership applications available. We ask that you join the NRA and obtain an Indiana gun license, along with yearly dues, etc., as conditions of membership.
If you choose to become a member, we'll supply you with a 'key card' that will grant you access to the range most anytime between the hours of 9AM and dusk. (We like to be good neighbors so we ask that shooters don't begin before 9am).
Our goals are to Support The 2nd Amendment, let the community know that we are GOOD neighbors, let everyone know that 'gun guys' are a GREAT bunch of folks, and show everyone that shooting is FUN!
