Brian Shaffer (hornhill range) has killed a lot of hogs with the TNT. Most of them are DRT.
Must be the slower speed of the Grendel that helps them not explode?

What MPBR does an inch low at 50 give you? Are you dialing for long range?I'm getting right at MOA with them. They are devastating on possums. I shot a possum by my shed at 60 yards and my shed looked like a Jackson Polluck painting. I'll be using them for coyotes this year. I zeroed at 50 yards. They were 2 inches high at 100, 2.5 at 150, and 2 at 200. 123 sst drop 1.5 low at 200, so the federals shoot a lot flatter. I ended up dropping my zero to one inch under at 50.
Makes sense. What barrel length? Mine is 12.5”, so MPBR for me is just over 200.I'm going for as flat as possible 0-250. I'm going to check what one inch low at 50 will do out to 200 on Friday.
This is my coyote gun and judging distance with thermal is very difficult. Most shots are 60-100, but I want to aim dead center out to 250.
Hopefully that’s not too blurry to read. It’s a comparison done between a 12.5” Ballistic Advantage Grendel barrel and an 18” BA Grendel barrel.
I found it very interesting. Still thinking of doing an 18” in the future.
I am thinking about getting a 6.5 G and the 1/2" groups you guys are getting sound fantastic.
What brand barrels are you guys using?
18. I'd love to switch to 12.5, but I'm not sure how much velocity and distance I'd lose.
Wow, that’s very inexpensive. What kind of accuracy is it producing?Bought my 20" fluted 5r barrel from Bear Creek Arsenal. Got it delivered for $67. Was on sale at the time.

I’ve built a couple with Ballistic Advantage barrels, and been immensely pleased with the results.
