    Hello,
I have noticed a recent trend of the 5.7x28 caliber round gaining traction and with the recent release of the S&W pistol in this caliber I was curious if anyone had any experience with suppressing this round and if it was essentially the same as a suppressed .22 as I have speculated it may be. The prevalence of threaded barrels on these pistols is what makes me beg the questions. Thanks all.

There’s a good bit of muzzle blast from a 5.7 and a suppressor tames it WAY down. It’s still supersonic so it’s loud but the removal of the blast makes it much more pleasant to shoot, especially from a short pistol barrel.
