This is the 5.56/223 Range Fun thread.
Post your pictures and talk about your 5.56/223 rifles and the ammo you shoot.
Most important thing is to have fun.

I decided to get a little range time in with my Poverty Pony 5.56 16" barrel before it rained today.

This is 50 yards only as I put a scope on it. A Vortex 2-7x from AAOPTICS.COM. I shot two different loads both 75gr Hornady BTHP Match.
One was Hornady Frontier and the other my reloads using 22.8gr 8208xbr.

This is my best 5 shot group using Frontier 0.574"

This is a 10 shot group using my reloads 0.670"

Nice shooting! I plan to try a test similar to yours with Sierra 77 Match Kings. I have a box of Federal Gold Medal loaded with the Sierra 77s and I am going to load some with the Sierra 77. The 77s and Varget have been an accurate combination in my Rock River Varmint.

Actually got to shoot my rifle past 100 yards for the first time in over a year this last weekend up at Bass N Bucks. No real accuracy tests just honestly plinking for fun at 100-200 with 55gr ball ammo. I did not want to make the range cold to get photos of the other targets but I was pleased. Plus I already know I get about MOA or better with 77gr SMK's. Rifle is an LWRC IC-Di

    Remington
    New toy.
Just a little green .223 bolt gun.
Not a dangerous black "assault weapon", or "fully semi-automatic weapon of war" or anything...
    Only holds 10 rounds too...
Looking forward to taking it out this coming week to see what it can do.

Remington 700 SPS, KRG Bravo chassis, Primary Arms GLX 4-16x50 scope, single stage Trigger Tech trigger.

Really like that set up! I have had great results with Rem 700s in 223 especially my 700LTR and 700 SPS Varmint. Let us know how you do with your 223 .

Just a run of the mill Ruger AR-556 with an A1 stock and factory sights. I can ring a 4" gong offhand from 50 yards every time with any 55gr ammunition. Oddly enough, one of it's favorites is Tulammo 55gr FMJ. Ruger AR556.JPG
