Correct, "number of guns sold" is wild speculation.Just to be clear, you are say that the number of guns sold is far greater than the background check number that NSSF says is inflated by double?
I moved from Illinois last year, to my knowledge, they never ran a BG check for ammo, and I was buying ammo. I walked into the firearms area, purchased the ammo, and walked out a few minutes later. They never told me to wait.IL runs background checks for ammo too...
I think this is all good news...it means people are finally starting to see that the government really only cares about you as a taxpayer and not a citizen. I hope this will lea to people shaking off what's been an increasingly oppressive government system. Maybe I'm too optimistic....
Not monthly, Daily...except Christmas Day.No, please understand that it is the number of background checks. Many states exempt carry license holders.
And several states, including Illinois, conduct monthly NICS checks on carry license holders thus inflating their numbers.
The number of guns sold is far, far greater than the number of checks: states with exemptions, transactions with multiple firearms, etc.
