A favorite gun to shoot even though it's my least accurate .22LR, but it has a hammer & is all metal, the Bersa Thunder.
    Shot it at 3.75" circles at 21', 30' & lastly, 15'.

I had 7 stovepipes, even though the next round inserted into chamber.
The first few mags had 6 rounds that I had to pull the trigger twice to fire, which I think was ammo related, since I was getting good strikes.
That's 2% of your shots resulting in a stovepipe. Is that typical for a .22LR? That seems like a lot to me, but honestly I'm no expert.

I had to hunt this up to find out what gun you were talking about.
That happened only on the first range trip breaking in of the Bersa Thunder .22LR.
After that happened, I took it home & cleaned it & it's been fine.
I can't remember if it did that using a particular brand of ammo, since I tried many that day, that would be in my more detailed notes that I save.
The Bersa hasn't had that many stovepipes in a range session again.

On one range visit, I did use CCI Standard Velocity against the directions in the Bersa manual.
As expected, it wouldn't cycle the SV rounds with the low 1030 FPS.
I was just experimenting to confirm that since it was shooting everything else I could throw at it.
I had the same experience with another of the new Bersa pistols I had years ago, this is my 3rd.

To your general point, there could be a 2% failure to load, or failure to fire or a stovepipe any given day with a .22LR, especially with a particular brand of ammo the gun doesn't like.
When I have an issue I see if it does it with a different brand of ammo & will clean it again.

That's why it's not recommended to use a .22LR for self defense since rimfires by design are prone to issues more so than centerfire ammo.

Took a new never-shot Taurus TX belonging to Zachcz
    &
the used one I bought Monday from another friend
    &
shot 2 days ago that I had issues with the rear sights (common problem).
My shots were all over the place trying for POI to be consistent with POA, but couldn't do it.
Today I didn't touch my sights at all
    &
I didn't dare move Zack's TX rear sights in case I ran into the same POI "traveling," but his didn't need adjustment anyway.
I view the TX rear sights as NON-ADJUSTABLE or "good luck" trying to adjust, haha!

    Neither gun had a malfunction.
    I put 135 rds through Zack's & 185 rds through mine today.
I put 245 rds through yesterday on mine
    &
had a problem 2-3 times with the 2nd round not loading, but I assume that was me since today I was more careful & had no issue at all.

    Zack's 1st mag on 3.75" circles at 22' using CCI Mini-Mags.
    10 rds, 5 rds & 1 rd from the 1st mag.
    View attachment 213102

Still shooting CCI Mini-Mags using 2" circles at 21'.
    22/25 rds inside circles = 88%
    View attachment 213103

My standard test: 1.75" circles at 21' for non-optic .22LR.
1st circle had me excited thinking they were all going to do that, but no.
    I have to remember it's a $300 gun.
    My Bersa 22LR, a $300 gun, I have to use at 15', b/c it's groups aren't as good at 21'.
I used 4 different brands of ammo.
As long as a gun will do 90% consistently, it's a keeper.
The Rem. Golden Bullets are OK for plinking but it couldn't quite keep up with the other brands: close, though.
I was pleased with this & the gun functions as Zack claimed his in the past have.
    View attachment 213104

    My TX
1st circle is yesterday before I adjusted anything.
I should have left it alone since I spent the day chasing after the POI.
Today, w/o any adjustments I finished the 1st row & shot the 2nd row to see how it would hold together in consistency.
I didn't dare touch the rear sights b/c it was "close" at least.
    View attachment 213106

    My TX
I put 15 rounds using 8 brands of ammo to see where POI.
    No adjustments made.
Ignore circle 1 (different gun on different day).
    3.75" circles at 21'.
CCI Blazer has never let me down & was the best group at 1".
    View attachment 213107

    1.75" circles at 21'.
CCI Blazer & Federal AutoMatch did well.
    Rem. GB sucked.

The rear sight on a TX is a little cheesy at best but once I got mine adjusted and locked they haven't moved. They are so small they are much use for my old eyes anyway. I've found the TX capable of excellent accuracy (easily 1" groups offhand @ 7 yards) using an optic or laser. I only use the standard TX for training new shooters at this point. I still shoot the TX comp model often and do my personal training with a P322 with an optic. I find both are more accurate that the standard TX.

Your eyes and hands are better than mine.
I can usually keep five rounds inside a 1.75" circle but no way with 1".
now that have a different TX with a red front optic it's a little easier for me to get on target.
I still intend to buy the Sig 322 when I can do so for $400.

I doubt that my eyes are any better. Optic and focus at the target rather than the front sight makes all the difference. I don't have much better luck than you with open sights.

Careful what you wish for, in stock at least right now.

I did get on their list to notify when available.
    Thanks for the heads-up!
I have gotten those notices before & at first didn't realize they were local, but when I did they were always out of stock. :dunno:
There are other places online for $399 but I don't want to pay the additional ordering fees. :spend:
I rarely order a gun but have done it for a SW 3rd gen & CZ rifle in the past.
I have bought & sold four other .22LR while waiting for the Sig 422 for $400, so I'm having fun anyway. :rockwoot:
I was told twice at Range USA (Point Blank) that the price was $400 when they had them in stock.
I put my name on a list but when they called me price was then $450, so I passed & said I'd wait till price settles down to MFSR, haha!
I have no need or urgency to pay over MSRP. :nono:
I know exactly what the price is for the 322 from the factory to dealers since I know someone who buys directly.
Unfortunately, I'm not in the loop, haha!
Not allowed to say, of course, but everyone is making money at the $400.
Paying more is just a bonus of supply & demand the dealer can benefit from.
    I'll wait. :)

I was able to find a P322 for $399 in Anderson and jumped on it! Got lucky , was about 10 minutes before the store closed that day. The P322 is quite a shooter. I had a Holosun 407K 6 MOA on it to begin with but then put my Romeo Zero 3 MOA on it. The 3 MOA is more precise (for me) at the longer ranges. Last weekend shot this at 50 yards.

I can't see the X either. At 50 yards all I see is one black circle of the 8,9 and 10 rings. All I try to do is to keep the red dot in the center of the black while trying to squeeze the trigger. Of course easier said than done! Many times the dot is bouncing around all over the place!

Shot the S&W 41 today as my "dessert" after a 9mm range day.

For me, a rare 100% with all rounds in the 1.75" circles at 30' (not 21' as listed).
I am so used to shooting 21' that I mislabeled this but I was shooting 30'.
I have a Bushnell red dot on this so when I have an optic I bump it up to 30'.
    Range 8.08.2022 100% on 1.75 in circles 50.50.jpg

    The beige circles (#6-10) are 1 & 5/16" (1.3125").
These were cherry-picked from a used target left over from a previous range visit on it.
Half of these were at 21' & the other half were 30'.
    Didn't bother to delineate.

    Beretta Bobcat .22LR tip-up barrel.
I have had over a dozen of all calibers of the tip-up barrels.
I thought I was done after selling my .32 acp SS with walnut grips I held onto, but apparently not.

Never had the tip-up barrel in SS & I also love a hammer.
Liked the rubber grips, instead of plastic OEM.

The front sight is just a sliver that I couldn't see.
Layers of paint thickened it up a little, haha!
I put layers of white, then red gun paint overtop on the front sight.
I put layers of white, then green gun paint overtop on the rear indention they call a sight.

    Thanks for the heads-up.
Of all days, I have someone coming over at 7 am to help me get some work done with gates, ramps & door latches.
Glad to see someone selling at the $400 MSRP, more will follow!
I would still call before going to see if the truly have any in stock

    190 rds of .22LR using 3 pistols:
    - Taurus TX
    - Bersa Thunder .22LR
    - Beretta Bobcat 22A

Aguila Super Extra, HV, 1255 FPS, SCN (solid copper nose) on a rest.
The red circles are 7/8" (I think).
Beretta Bobcat 22A at 15" on the left column (except bottom left corner).
    POI 1"-3" low.
    1/32 failure to load.
Taurus TX at 21" on the middle column (including both bottom corners).
    POI 1" low
    0/120 failures.
Bersa Thunder at 15" on the right colunm (except bottom corner).
    POI a little low.
    0/40 failures.

    Nothing impressive here.
Occasionally, there would be some good shots on or near the red circle, but not consistently.

No target pics since I was just shooting plates but super impressed with these new additions

Sure doddg will give them a proper run at at the range this week. Surprised if they both don’t shoot 90 or better in his format.

Left my computer in Lancaster Ohio,
but finally figured out how to post pics from my phone on INGO.
    I had a blast shooting zachcz's
    SW Victory with large grips
    and,
    the KelTec CP33.

SW Victory shot like it always has,
which is average when using a red dot (I expect better).
The KELTEC CP 33 really surprised me!!!
    Felt great in the hand.
No issue at all with loading.
    Good trigger.
Accuracy was as good as my best
    22LR,
getting 100% on a row with a red dot at 30'
    &
w/o optic did fine at 21'.
