Put a few rounds through the Browning Buckmark Silhouette 10" today.
I love this gun, makes me feel like a shooter.

When I get to 30' my POA has to be 6 o'clock (at the bottom of the 1.75" circle), for the POI to be in the center of the circle.
At 45' my POA has to be about an inch below the 1.75" circle for the POI to hit center of circle.
My scope (1.5 x 20) will not let me move the elevation anymore.

I'll have to learn how to reset the elevation to bring my POI where my POA is.
    Or,
I'll have to put a different scope on it.

    Or,
perhaps moving where the scope is on the rail would make a difference???
I have it back as far as it will go now and it could be moved forward.

Only put 60 rds through it today: welcome to 2021.

Took four .22 to the range to see if I could part with a couple since I'm trimming the safe, again :ugh:.
Sometimes I buy a gun just to try it out for the short term & know I won't be keeping it.
Sometimes they are such good shooters there are hard to let go. :dunno:

SW 41 is my most expensive .22 with a red dot & on my "Keeper" list.
SW 422 I picked up last summer just for fun & it ended up being a favorite shooter, but it's time to let it go now.
Walther SP22 is another great shooter & I've had 2 of these, but time to let it go.
SW 317 AirLight 3" barrel I recently bought b/c I always wanted to try out this particular gun, but knew when I bought it that it was going to be for the short term.

I used CCI SV for all today except some CCI Blazer HV mixed in with some of the SW 317 revolver shooting.
This was my best in the 1.75" circles for the SW 41 w/red dot @30'.

3 guns at the range today:
    - H&R 939 revolver (bought today)
    - Hi-Standard Model H-M Military pistol (lent to me by Mongo59 to have fun with at the range)
    - SW 317 AirLight revolver

3rd range time shooting the SW 317 AirLight revolver & really enjoying myself.
It is so light compared to my heavy revolvers I prefer, but I had to try it out.

I saw that Single 10 when @doddg bought it. The picture does not do it justice. That is one beautiful gun.

I bought his S&W 422 and it is a great shooting gun.
The Single 10 blew me away when I saw it. :wow:
I didn't need it, but b/c of the 10 rds & green optics and Stainless Steel, I caved. :lmfao:

I already have a longer barreled & optic ready Ruger Single Six Hunter with a rail integral to the barrel with Ruger supplied scope rings that attach to it & it shoots great with the Leupold scope I have on it.
Therefore, I won't keep the Single 10 long
    but,
I had to try it out since I know I can sell it since they retail for $839 & I have a little less than $500 in it.

    I knew you'd love the 422!
    I did! :rockwoot:

Just saying hello, as I believe I was in the booth to your right at the range on 7/30 as I recognize your target and the style of notes written on it. My memory is a little fuzzy but I was on vacation last week, so I went 7/28, 7/29 and 7/30 :) I looked longingly at a new Sig in the case on 7/28, 7/29 and I talked myself into buying it on 7/30!

    I’m a bit of a newbie myself.

Watch out for @doddg or you'll go to a meet to sell a gun and buy three. He's a bad/ good influence, you pick.

    That's so funny! :lmfao:
I still can't believe I lost control like that.
The Ruger Max-9 I don't apologize for b/c I had my eye on it since I was open to selling my Kahr CT9 & getting something a little different.
For the other two I have only excuses. :dunno:

Jwj don’t do it. It’s a trap. Next thing you know you’ll be getting rid of your 9mms and only shooting 22s. It’s the Doddg effect.

A friend here on INGO that I sold my 1st H&R 939 a couple of yrs ago wanted to buy the 2nd one I just got, so I sold it to him today (for what I paid, of course).
We had the greatest conversation in person at the Point Blank in Greenwood for nearly an hour!
We have bought & sold guns between us for years now.

Last time shooting the Hi-Standard H-D Military trainer from WW2 that Mongo59 lent me for the past 2 weeks b/c it's time to return it.
I know I could tighten up groups more consistently if I painted the front/rear sights so my eyes could see the black iron sights better, haha!

Also, could be the last range pics for the Ruger Single 10 that I picked up recently just for fun, not intending to keep it.

A range day with another of Mongo59's Military Training pistols.
Another Hi-Standard, but this time a Supermatic Citation Model 107 Military.

It was shooting low & much to the right.
It took till the 9th & 10th target to get the POI consistently in the 1.75" circles.
You could readily see that the adjustment for windage was way to the right when I began.
I painted the front sight with 2 coats white, then 3 coats green.

21' with CCI SV on a rest with 1.75" circles.
I shot another 4 targets before these 6, just trying to get some rounds in the circles.

So I've only got to the range once with the S&W 422 I bought from @doddg, it works great, btw, and I add this one:

Not sure if I'm going to keep the optic. Ruger Mark II, competition target. I've already taken it apart and cleaned it. I even got it back together. I'm thinking some .22 range time tomorrow.

I saw the Ruger Competition model listed too , one of the nicest of the MKII series. Had one of the early versions and it shot great but ended up selling it to get a Smith 617 revolver.

The 617 did not shoot well for me and I traded it soon afterwards. Made me really regret selling the MKII.

But these days I have a few MKIIs and 22/45s that shoot great and even a 617 that shoots very well.
