I can hear them near my wooded land but never see them around or get them on cam. I wonder if I'd successfully call them in or not. Anyone hunt hardwoods for coyotes and have some advice to share?

Depending on the thickness of your woods, but a 12ga with 4 buck is a good woods choice.

I hunt them like I do deer, set caller in a saddle and set up according to wind. Or along any kind of log road or trail system where there in an intersection.

Most of my yote hunting is in the brush. Pay special attention to scent/wind. Be ready all the time as they can slip in without you even knowing. Ranges most likely to be short, most I get are well under 100 yards. Shotguns as yetti mentioned work well, used one quite a bit. A lightweight AR with a good low light, low powered scope is almost a prefect rig. Calls work well. First and last light I've found to be better, you'll need really good night vision after dark, better than what I have.
