Only had time to get out for hour and half this morning. Hit my honey tree and had four cutting in it. Got the two fox squirrels and others hit the road. Moved on down the trail to another hickory and had three working it. Got the two grays and other escaped. On walk back to house, saw another one moving from the first tree and I didnt want to try a shot with it moving. All in all, I saw about 7 and got four. I'll take it.

Coffeed up, pocket with stingers in it. 10-22 by the back door. Think fried squacks with brown gravy n biscuits sounds like a good dinner. Good luck folks.

I've been wanting to get into squirrel hunting.

Need to go sight in my rifle, get a hunter orange vest and the license.

Have only tried Turkey hunting, so this should be fun.

You do not need the vest in Indiana until later in the season. Camo is my preferred outfit. Facemask included. I see more of them if they can't spot me so soon.

Two, saw 6 or 7, skeeters weren’t bad. That was a pleasant surprise. Lots of walnuts still lots of green. One good head shot other had to go thru shoulder. Got’em cleaned n in the fridge. Just sat on a bucket and had a chew of beechnut. Enjoyable morning. First time I’ve shot that Ruger in a few years, scope is still on. Saw a bunch of Purple Martins.

The squirrels in the park must be used to people then, cause they'll jump in a tree and peek around chattering at me and the dog.
Indeed they are. The ones in my woods disappear if I'm spotted.

    Sounds like a great morning.
