Saw on twitter 3 have already made the announcement they won’t vote. Didn’t mention Romney either, so there’s 4.

Who are these people working for, cause it sure isn’t their voters.

Win or lose, highlighting these RINO's is a good thing. They will pay with their jobs or make bad examples for other vulnerable senate seats.

The same with the nomination. I think Trump will nominate quickly, but there have been pundit suggestions for him to wait until after his swearing in in January. Thought being to highlight and force the libs to bring out their whack job activist judge picks for who they would put in the SCOTUS seat. Either way is a win for us. :twocents:

Not trying to dance on Ginsburg's grave, but her passing will insure a win for us, as if that already wasn't inevitable.

There are those that will argue that the only reason Trump sets in the white house is what he claimed he would do with judicial nominations. His actions have went far beyond those claims.

With our catch and release legal system, combined with the now numerous bands of roving urban terrorists, the legal system is a HUGE thing. People that would never say it aloud WILL vote for law and order.

Ted Cruz makes a good argument for why it would be better to nominate and approve a new justice sooner rather than later:

Republican Senator Ted Cruz says President Donald Trump needs to nominate a successor Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg next week, and that the Senate should confirm that choice or the country risks a constitutional crisis.

“I believe that the president should, next week, nominate a successor to the court. I think it is critical that the Senate takes up and confirms that successor before Election Day,” Senator Cruz told Sean Hannity on Fox News.

“Democrats and Joe Biden have made clear they intend to challenge this election. They intend to fight the legitimacy of the election. As you you know Hillary Clinton has told Joe Biden ‘under no circumstances should you concede, you should challenge this election.’ and we cannot have election day come and go with a 4-4 court.”

Cruz continued, “A 4-4 court that is equally divided cannot decide anything. And I think we risk a constitutional crisis if we do not have a nine-justice Supreme Court, particularly when there is such a risk of … a contested election.”

Susan Collins is up for reelection this year and is the one most likely at risk of losing her seat. There is no upside for her personally to vote on a nominee before the election, only downside. If she votes to confirm it energizes her opponent's voters to vote her out. If she holds off on a vote she can dangle the nomination over the Republican voters in Maine and say, "better keep me in or you won't get a conservative nominee confirmed."

Of course, she could just do the right thing based on principal, but looking at her track record we all know that won't happen. She loves pretending to be a centrist and having an inordinate amount of influence in these matters. Much more than a senator from Maine would/should ever have.

See how many outright lies you can find in this yahoo article.

Yahoo has become 10x worse since they turned off the comments section.

What a bunch of liberal drivel.

And I couldn't help but notice this at the bottom of the article:

Our goal is to create a safe and engaging place for users to connect over interests and passions. In order to improve our community experience, we are temporarily suspending article commenting.

Um, what?? A safe and engaging place for users to connect over interest and passions? By stopping people from engaging?

Verizon owns Yahoo, they turned off the comment sections in July.

Unless they’re from Indiana we aren’t the voters they’re working for.

Can we please have Ted Cruz for SCOTUS pick?

Drag him kicking and screaming into it if necessary, it's his destiny.

Either way, the vacancy must be filled, if even by a moderate before the election. We're heading into what will almost certainly be a disputed election, and the last thing we need is the potential for the final verdict in the land to be a split 4/4 decision.
