So now with my Allen M upgrades to my 1911 looking for some suggestions for new Grips? They need to be suitable for all weather conditions and offer good adhesion.

    Thoughts ?
You can never go wrong with Pachmayr. I prefer the ones with the backstrap because they absorb a bit of recoil. They also have a good texture, unlike Hogues which are less than ideal with wet hands.

I like G10 with a really aggressive texture as well. Texture is more of a preference thing and there are a lot of options, so im sure you could find something to your liking.

VZ Carbon Fiber or G10 both stay grippy even when wet as both are laminates. This was my Single Stack USPSA blaster for a couple of years and with 25lpi checkering it's locked into your hand.

I have the EDC Frag pattern on my pistol for reference

So thicker than standard size Grips? Strange thing I switched the frame on my P365 for the Wilson Combat version because the slightly larger grip circumference.
Yeah, but not in a good way for me. This is what I went to on my EDC 3":

    Knock-off Colt delta grips.

This was with the Hogue rubbers (sorry for the potato pic, its a few years old):

The "new" (5 years ago) have much better grip and maintain that 1911 feel that is the most natural thing in the world for me.

I really NEED to refinish that critter. I wish it still looked as good as either of those pics. 6 years of EDC is hard on it lol

For a working pistol, it's hard to beat G10 grips. They can be from VZ, Loki or Cool Hand. G10 is grippy, durable and feels good in the hand. For a more traditional feel on guns that I don't carry often, I like good old walnut double diamond grips. My barbecue 1911 sports mammoth ivory though. It's a great grip material but at about $600 a set, not for EDC.

I have some Black G10 grips that came with my RIA 1911 10mm. I put wood grips on it because I like the wood look better.
I'm going to wet my hands, and test those wood grips. If they fail I'll put the G10 grips back on, and do the same test.
If the G10 grips fail I'll go back to the wood, and put some none slip tape on them.

My vote is LOK grips. Pick your grippiness with what texture you choose.

I have a set of Cool Hand that I like also.

I like em all! I really like nice wood grips but have really come to appreciate the look and feel of the G10 type grips too. Someday I’d like some real ivory for a couple of my safe queens.

Any stark differences between the two?
