Would like to have my Springfiel 1911 checkered on the front strap.
Is there anybody in the Indy-southern Indiana area the can do this and a refinish?
    Machine or hand doesn't matter.
    Would like 25lpi.
    Thanks~

I know you mentioned Indy but just an FYI. I spoke via E mail with Springfield and they will do it. It was 150 for I believe 25 lpi 170 for the October cut and like 200 for the 130 lpi I was interested in the October but haven’t done it yet.

    Just an option. Good luck

Good to know. I didn't think Springfield did that stuff any more.

25 LPI is the way to go IMHO, Ray Saltzman in Tipton hand cut my Operator and did the trigger guard undercut as well.

I like the 25 lpi. I like the Octo just as well however a second reason for me my mainspring on my Operator is steel and has Octo cuts and I simply wanted it to match so no reason to change tha housing.

I have cut and competed with 20 and 30 LPI and if I were going to do it all again I would just do 25 LPI. It's the perfect compromise.
