Question. What is the advantage of a full rail? Never had a 1911 with a rail at all but am contemplating it.
I have a DW Specialist which has the partial rail as in the Springfield video above. For me it's plenty of real estate for mounting a weapon light. The full rail gives you more mounting flexibility for light/laser accessories with the (IMHO) aesthetics trade-off. I prefer the look of the partial rail to maintain the scalloped profile of the slide/frame fitment.

So far I have not encountered any mounting disadvantages with the partial-length rail.

    1st it’s just bad ass.
2nd the weapons light of choice and
3rd there is a noticeable nose weight. At least to me there is.
4th what a wonderful bludgeon it is when properly deployed

to see you on here posting 1911 love
Well this offering is worth the response.
about 2 months ago I and AllenM started what I What would be my last custom build as life and assortment of other issue were changing. All the parts are paid for just waiting on a damned full rail frame that seems to have vanished to that place the odd sock goes. Over 2 months so far and it’s paid for. And did I mention the parts were paid for months ago.
crazy thing is with the current state of life this absolutely will be it for me. And I am getting pissy about it.

It would be great have this on the bench when I get my feet back under me.

Hilton Yam of 10-8 giving a detailed breakdown of the Emissary , apparently his handgun came with a 6# pull yikes. Probably a little bit better of a review than the Shill Supreme Sootch can do IMHO

I get your point about the well known corporate shill. I posted it as a first look vid so others could get a better look at it than just a pic because it's the first one that I came across.

Thanks for posting the HY vid though. I agree with it being a better technical review.

I love this Beast, definitely Badass! I believe that the Emissary would only benefit from a full railed dust cover imo.
One of CM and AllenMs creations btw.

Forgot to add, its a 10mm.
